Principal's Message
Dear ATC Community,
I am thrilled to introduce myself as your new Principal at the Applied Technology Center. With a deep passion for education and a wealth of experience, I am dedicated to fostering an environment of innovation, learning, and collaboration within our school community.
My journey in education has been shaped by a strong educational background and diverse experiences. In my most recent role as the Principal of Rosewood Park STEAM Academy in the Montebello Unified School District, I spearheaded the development of the district's first STEAM Academy. by integrating Project-Based Learning and forging community partnerships, I created an environment where students thrived. I provided leadership, guidance, and unwavering support to our dedicated teachers, ensuring the implementation of research-based teaching methods. Through these efforts, I was honored with the Administrator of the Year award in the Montebello Unified School District in 2021-2022.
My goal as your Principal is to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student can excel academically and personally. I am particularly passionate about our unique cohort of students at the Applied Technology Center who exhibit remarkable courage by choosing an unconventional high school journey. For their high school experience they choose one of four pathways closely aligned with the demands of college and career readiness across four industry sectors. Our specialized career technical education pathways, such as Architecture, Construction Management and Engineering; Culinary, Hospitality and Event Management; Health Sciences; and Public and Legal Services, offer a customized educational experience designed to equip our students for the demand and prospects of their future careers.
I am excited to collaborate with each member of the ATC community, building on the school's rich legacy of academic excellence and innovation. Together, let's create a future where our students are inspired, empowered, and well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.
