Public & Legal Services Pathway
Mr. Hinson spent more than 25 years in law enforcement, serving as a Corporal, Crime Scene
Investigator, Field Training Officer, and Detective. He has worked on undercover cases,
analyzed complex crime scenes, and trained future officers—bringing real-world knowledge
and experiences directly into the classroom.
From the Field to the Classroom
Now leading the Public & Legal Services Pathway, Mr. Hinson creates interactive, hands-on
learning experiences that prepare students for life after high school. Through mock trials,
forensic labs, career-building projects, and cross-curricular activities, students gain the
confidence, skills, and knowledge needed to succeed in both college and career.

• Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice – Chapman University
• Associate of Science in Forensic Science
• Certified Career Technical Education (CTE) Teaching Credential
• Police Officer Standards & Training (POST) Instructor, Levels 1–3
